Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the Riverdale Rising Stars Junior production of Aladdin Jr. There are 2 casts involved, but today I’ll be showing you some photos from Cast B. (still working on Cast A shots!)
As always, the kids are super cute! The set and costumes were full of rich color and detail. Really transforms you to Agrabah! They even had a magic carpet along with the usual suspects – Aladdin, Sultan, Genie, Jasmine, Jafar and Yago.
Besides being there to photograph these great kids during their dress rehearsal, my girls of course wanted to see the show. Not once, but twice already! (that makes FOUR times for me!) After each show that we see, there’s always a song that gets glued to my brain. This time it was the song “Friends Like Me”, but it’s only part of the tune towards the end that I’m stuck on. The kids acted like they were playing a trombone to “Weh Weh Weh”.
Can you imagine having “Weh Weh Weh” floating through your head all day?!?
Just a few more performances left and then a new group (including my daughter) gets ready for the next show – Willy Wonka!!
