Yesterday I was in the city for another amazing photography workshop at B&H Photo. When the class was over I was walking back to the subway, deep in thought of all the technical issues of RAW photo processing we just went over. I then became a little distracted by what I saw in front of me – these patterned hose.
I thought back to the days I used to work in corporate offices in the city, the outfitls I used to wear, happy I don’tt need to dress lke that anymore – suits, uncomfortable conservative heels and PANTY HOSE!!!
I think the last time I wore panty hose was to my wedding and I’m coming up on my 11 year anniversary next month. I just HATE wearing hose!! They are so uncomfortable, tight, itchy and you always have to worry about getting a snag. Never mind the expense! These things could get pretty pricey!
I think some patterned hosiery could be fun – but for my taste I’d probably like something more subtle than the ones I saw yesterday.
What’s your take on them?
I have 2 events coming up where I should wear dresses but I’m trying to talk myself into black pants being OK just so I can avoid the hose!
Why not wear stockings? They’re not as, um, suffocating as hose. And they’re super sexy.
As for patterned tights, I do wear them, but I buy a really big size so I don’t die of suffocation and stuff. I have a cute pair of argyle ones that I just love.

I’m so clueless! When you say stockings do you mean tights or thigh highs? I eventually switched to tights from hose and found that so much better but that was still so long ago. 🙂
