Today I am off to do a Bar Mitzvah Family Portrait Photo Session. Normally when there is a Bar Mitzvah, you are not allowed to photograph during the actual ceremony so the family schedules a photo session either before or after the actual ceremony. They get to dress up twice and either practice or re enact everything from the actual Bar Mitzvah.
These are photos that I took back in June for Noah G.’s Bar Mitzvah at the CSAIR Temple in Riverdale, NY. Coincidentally, I am headed back to the same temple today!
I took the traditional shots including Noah reading from the torah but my favorites are when I caught them in the in between moments.
Noah and his family were great and definitely fun to photograph.
I will post photos from today’s Bar Mitzvah in a few weeks.
