I’m so excited for this time of year with Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner. Two of my favorite holidays back to back.
This past weekend we started to get in the Halloween spirit by breaking out our Halloween decorations. I let the girls have free reign on the decorations – clumps of spider webs everywhere!!
There are lots of Halloween related activities around town as well so we decided to head on over to The Bronx Zoo to check out their Boo At The Zoo.
So much fun!! We decided to become members a couple of months ago and I have to say, it was such a great decision! We could go any time and can do all of the different activities.
We started off on a Haunted Hay Ride where they took us to back sections of the park that were decorated to scare the passengers (not too scary though)
Who knew we’d be trick or treating on October 1st! Yep – there were a few Treat Stations set up around the park for the kids to get their little fix.
There was a small parade with stilt walkers – the butterfly and grass hopper were my favorites!
The girls loved running through the Haunted Hay Maze
and going through the Haunted Safari (not one of my favorites).
Although we did a lot, we didn’t get to do everything. Next time we’ll definitely have to toast some marshmallows and make some s’mores. They smelled so good!
If you’ve never been to Boo At The Zoo, I highly recommend it – fun for both kids and adults!
What Halloween events are in your area?

They have a boo at the zoo here in LA too, but I’ve never gone to it. Yours looks like fun!

Just broke out the decorations today! What fun! Looks like you had a great time! I’ll have to see what’s happening in our neck of the woods.
Cheers!

Hey Jason – If they do, you should go. The kids will love it!
