Playground Exploration
Date: Saturday June 2nd
Time: 9:30am – 11am
Location: PS24 Playground
Open to kids in 3rd to 5th grade
Kids love going to the playground but this time we’ll be exploring it from different perspectives and different angles. The playground like they’ve never seen it before! We’ll discuss camera basics and then how to make your photos more interesting with perspective and angles. This will help to stimulate their creativity in other areas of their life.
Colors of the Rainbow
Date: Saturday June 16th
Time: 9:30am – 11am
Location: Wave Hill
Open to kids in 3rd to 5th grade
Spring as well as summer brings a wide variety of color around us. While at Wave Hill, we will see if we can discover all the colors of the rainbow. We will discuss camera basics as well as macro photography – getting close up to your subjects to see all the fine detail. These exercises will help kids to become more detail oriented and focused.
Information
- Fee: $35 per class, $60 for both classes 15% sibling discount available
- Please make sure kids bring a fully charged digital camera with plenty of room on the memory card for lots of photos!
- Pack a small healthy snack (granola bar, fruit)
- Bottled water will be provided
- Each class is limited to 6 kids
