It seems like much of my time with my girls is spent at a playground. They are at that age where the playground is the place to be. After school when the weather is nice we stop by the PG (as my sister and I like to call it) for at least an hour.
On weekends, when we try to go out and do family activities, somehow it ends up that no matter what we do that day, we’ll end up at a playground somewhere. It’s like a super power – the ability to detect a playground from miles away! Yes, the playground is fun for THEM, but there’s only so much bench sitting a parent could do. Unless of course I have a friend with me. Totally different situation. Fun for them, fun for me.
So to pass the time when I’m alone, I of course take pictures. Now that I have my iPhone, I’ve been using it more with my family than my regular camera! I love that it’s so easy and light weight. I especially love playing around with the different photo apps.
So one day while my girls were swinging, sliding or hanging from the monkey bars, I decided to photograph my shoes. Yes, this is what happens in playground delirium – you start photographing your shoes!
These are my favorite orange shoes. I really like the contrast and texture from the mulch. I used Instagram on it but can’t remember which effect I used. Sorry!
Having the iPhone has definitely made the PG bench more bearable.
In what situations are you thankful for your smartphone?

I remember those days! Now we rarely go to the playground but I used to live there. If I’d had an iPhone I’m sure I would have spent hours playing with instagram. I like you shoe photo. It brings back memories!

I guess I still have a few more years at the playground! At least they’re old enough that I don’t have to run after them. 🙂
