I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been swamped with Wonka craziness!! My daughter is in the show starting this coming weekend at The Riverdale Y and I am helping to organize a fun Golden Ticket event as well as photograph the show. I’ll let you know more about that as it unfolds.
In the meantime, I thought I would post a few photos from this past weekend. We decided to go into the city on Sunday in celebration of Fleet Week – lots of boats and sailors swarming around NYC.
Unfortunately, they had incorrect info online and when we went down to the piers along the Hudson, we were told the ship was closed for viewing. They did however give us the option to go to the Intrepid or go onto the pier. We opted for the pier but had to wait on line
A looooong line. A long hot line!
It’s so crazy that it was Memorial Day Weekend and that the summer is practically here already. It’s been so hot here I just can’t take it. The humidity is unbearable. My hair can’t take it either. It will most likely be tied back until September!
I can only dream of flying to far off frosty wonderlands to escape the oppressive heat that the soon approaching Summer has brought upon us.
A girl can dream, can’t she?

The summer heat hasn’t hit LA yet. By the time you’re enjoying cool Fall breezes we’ll be sweltering though our usual hot Autumn weather. But no humidity out here! It’s usually dry dry dry. Keep cool!
