It’s time to actually see the Bat Mitzvah girl! Last week I wrote about the cake, the party favor packaging, and some fun shots of the dance party. Today we’ll wrap up with photos of Camrin and telling the story of her special day.
As I mentioned previously, Camrin is very special to me – like a niece. Thirteen years ago I waited all night in the lobby of the hospital waiting for her to be born. As soon as I saw her I thought she was the cutest baby I’d ever seen! I was also the first to point out her AMAZING eyebrows!! (they’re still incredible!) Back then, babies were so foreign to me! I was still entrenched in my single city girl life. It was amazing to me that one of my closest friends actually had a baby. Wow!!
I immediately started loving this baby and enjoyed watching her grow up. I was thrilled to have her as my flower girl at my wedding (tomorrow will be 11 years ago!) I remember thinking that one day when I have my own kids I hope I can love them as much as I did Camrin. As many of you know – I have my own 2 now and YES I do!! 🙂 (they still make me crazy though)
It was so hard to believe this little one was thirteen already and there we were celebrating her Bat Mitzvah. Unfortunately in the temple, we weren’t allowed to take photos so the photos you’ll see are after the actual ceremony.
After the ceremony, the guests and temple members are invited to a lunch at the temple.
How cool is Camrin? Such a city girl! This is the first time I’ve seen a Bat Mitzvah girl with pink streaked hair. I LOVED it!!
After the lunch, the guests were invited to continue the celebration at the next location – one of those cool city places that doesn’t have a name – just a number.
There was a candle lighting ceremony where she honored special people in her life. Notice the quick outfit change to party girl mode. You can’t see here but she had hot pink heels on to complete the outfit.
Everyone had fun dancing, goofing around in the photo booth, watching a video made from fun photos of Camrin’s life, getting henna tattoos and getting to indulge with a chocolate fountain.
Congratulations Camrin! So happy to be a part of your special day!
