I love books – making them, reading them, the experience of going to bookstores. It’s all great. I just don’t seem to make enough time to actually READ them!
When I do finally read I usually choose business related, or photography related books. I’m reading a great one now called Blog Inc. It’s been out for awhile but I just recently picked up a copy. It’s written by Joy Deangdeelert Cho of the successful blog Oh Joy!. (as a side note we both have daughters with the same name!)
I love blogging almost as much as I love photography. I’m constantly thinking about it, taking pictures and coming up with ideas. My struggle again is a time thing – trying to really dedicate the time to make my blog how I envision it in my head.
Since I started my 52 Week Photo Challenge where I post a new photo each Sunday, I found that I really like that – having a theme for a day and keeping a schedule.
This book gives a lot of insight into what goes into blogging whether you want it more for a hobby/ personal use or if you want to make a business out of it. My favorite part is the interviews she does with successful bloggers so you can read about how they got started to how they ended up where they are today. It’s very inspiring and motivating!!
I’m almost done which feels bittersweet – sad to know something good is coming to an end. The good part is it will always be there for reference.
I’ll let you know what’s next on my list!
