This weekend we had a blizzard here in NY We woke up to a blanket of white soft snow covering everything outside! Of course my girls were eager to go out and start sledding!
At first the snow was too soft – the sleds just kept sinking. We had to do a few runs and finally it was flat enough for some fun sledding time.
We met up with some friends at another hill. After some sledding the girls decided to have an organized snowball fight – complete with forts! Here’s a picture of my younger daughter with a friend ATTEMPTING to build their fort to protect against the barrage of expected snowballs from the other team.
Looks like they need some help! I like how the sun at that time of day (mid afternoon) was making the shadows on the snow look blue. It looked so pretty!
