For this week’s theme of Celebration,, I was originally going to post a photo from Monday. It was my husband’s birthday. That would have been an obvious one – blowing out the candles on his cake, etc.
Instead I decided to choose the following photograph…
I took it last night. I was volunteering for a fundraiser happening later that night at the Riverdale Y. I was in charge of decorations. I decided earlier that day that I was going to need help and informed my family they would now be part of the decorating committee! After a few moans and groans, they eventually agreed. Not that they really had any choice!
I took the photo as my daughter was helping set up the beverage area. She was really getting into it and ended up having a great time helping. My husband helped blow up balloons and hang streamers. My younger daughter…Well, 2 out of 3 isn’t bad! She made her own fun running around.
So, it was a true celebration that we all worked on a volunteer project together. A family group effort!

OK, I asked my girls for some help with next week’s theme – coming up with something starting with D. I was torn between 2 but I am going with DISGUSTING!!
