Chipaholic

Chipaholic

Crunch and salt. The perfect combination.

Chips

It’s been a couple of weeks since I had a chip and like any “aholic”, I’m definitely going through withdrawals. Today I actually got my butt to the gym and while I was on the treadmill watching the Today Show, the only thing I could think of was a salty crunchy potato chip.

My favorite flavor is the Dill Pickle potato chip. Lays used to make it and those were my favorite, I can’t find them anywhere so I’m not sure if they’re still in production. Route 11 also has a good version. Salt & Vinegar is a close second.

Texture and thickness also count. I don’t like them too thin, but too thick isn’t good wither. I find a thicker wavy version works best if there’s a dip involved. When I was pregnant with my older daughter, I enrolled in the Chip Of The Month Club – but only for one month. I was super healthy during that pregnancy, watched everything I ate but just indulged in this one little thing. It was so much fun receiving a package of 4 or 5 different types of chips to try out. I highly recommend it!

One of the things that gets me motivated to go food shopping is so I can check the chip aisle just to see if there are any new flavors I need to be aware of.    So exciting when there’s a new interesting flavor to try!!

Are you also a chip lover?  if so, what’s your favorite?

Haha! I’m a chip person too! I LOVE salt&vinegar! I’d rather that over any cake or pie or sweet. Too funny!

A woman after my own heart! I love salty fried crunchy anything, but especially potato and tortilla chips.

Currently my favorite, when I allow myself to indulge which is rare, are the “reduced guilt” from Trader Joes. i don’t know if you have TJ’s over where you are. I am also a fan of anything bbq flavored. In the tortilla area I’m not picky but I do love doritos.

Should we get into chetoz now?

So great when you can admit to loving the crunch – no matter how bad it is for you! Yes, we do have TJ’s – I’ll have to check it out. I used to LOVE Cheetos when I was a kid and secretly would probably still like them but I don’t let me girls eat them. Grosses me out to see those orange sticky fingers! 🙂
