Tips On How To Use Dollar Store Doilies – Valentine Edition

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!

Anything fun planned? I am quickly getting some things done for my girls while they are at school.    Baking, decorating and wrapping some little V-Day gifts.

Wanted to share some things I’ve been doing.   I apologize in advance for the quality of my photos but they will be home soon so I had to make it quick!

The other day I was at the dollar store and found these pink heart doilies.

I picked up a pack knowing I’d be able to figure some way to use them. They come in a pack of 24 for $1! Can’t beat that! This is what I came up with…

! – A Valentine’s Banner

I took 9 of them with some brown ribbon (LOVE pink and brown combo!) and made a banner to hang above our living room window.

2 – Butterflies

Two hearts taped together at the bottom point look like butterflies. I put these on both sides of the banner

3 – Valentine Pouches

Take 2 hearts, place them back to back and basically sew the edges with ribbon. Leave an opening at the top so you can either put a little card or…

a personalized chocolate bar!

4 – Valentine Gift Bags

I took a brown paper bag and glued the heart to the front. I cut the top with fancy edged scissors and added some tissue paper. Ready to fill with Valentine chocolates!

See, a dollar goes a long way! (and I still have 5 heart doilies left over!)

Have a great V=Day!
