Last Sunday I did my first of 3 photo walks that I’m offering this fall. Location of choice – Untermyer Park in Yonkers, NY. The weather was cloudy and overcast (my favorite). I like the mood it brings to the images.
There was a lot to see and explore. These photographs were taken with my “real” camera – my DSLR. I had intended on using both my camera and my iPhone but someone forgot to charge her phone before leaving! Yep – I was already on low battery 5 minutes into the walk!
Lots of walking around exploring the different areas of the park. I like the contrast between the manicured areas compared to the run down sections. So much color and a wide variety of textures from the Fall foliage.
The Temple of Love is a crazy rock formation with mini waterfalls, a large dome and beautiful views of the Hudson River. It seems as though there were some restorations and upgrades made since the last time I was there.
