I’m sure everyone is getting ready for the big Turkey Day tomorrow! I know my girls are super excited. Every day they ask me “How many more days Mama??” I never saw 2 kids get so excited about food!! I have to say – I’m looking forward to drowning in a bowl of stuffing myself. Mmmm Mmmm!!
Today I’m trying to get some work done but I see a messy apartment everywhere I look just begging to be cleaned up for tomorrow’s company. Later this afternoon I’ll be teaching an after school art class for kids in Kindergarten and First Grade. I’m subbing for a friend of mine. Should be fun! Then, the cooking begins!!
I’m trying one new dish this year – Melissa D’Arabian’s Braised Cabbage. I’ll let you know how ti turns out. What about you? Making anything interesting?
Whatever you end up doing or making, don’t forget your camera! For my after school Photography class, I gave them the assignment of telling the story of their Thanksgiving and I’m giving all of you the same one!! Try getting action shots as well as details.
I’ll actually help you out with one of the details at least. I’ve designed these Thanksgiving Place Cards for you to download for free.
Print them out on white card stock and cut them out and fold in half. Write each person’s name in the blank area and set it at their place setting. Place cards are a very simple way to decorate your table and make it a little more personal.
Let me know if you end up using them!
Have a great day!
