{Events} Wolfie’s 4th Birthday Party

{Events} Wolfie’s 4th Birthday Party

Over Spring Break, my little one was invited to her friend Wolfie’s birthday party over at Greenburgh Nature Center. This is a perfect place to have a party if your child loves animals. We’ve had many visits here so she was super excited. Not only to be able to hold the animals but also to see her bud Wolfie.

The kids are so brave!

As I’ve mentioned, I’m not an animal person at all!   How could these kids think these ferrets are so cute? My skin is crawling!!

After the snake and ferret, they brought out a chinchilla. An interesting fact is that they can’t bathe in water because it’s too cold for them. They need to bathe in dust or dirt. The kids were fascinated by that fact!

Even this little one was amazed!

Next up was some kind of lizard  This didn’t freak me out as much as his furry friends.

When it was time for the animals to say goodbye, it was time for pizza and cake  (after washing hands, of course!)

What’s a party without a balloon fight, right?!?

It’s so much fun to photograph kid’s parties (when they’re not your own)  I love the natural expressions and the playfulness. Best part is they don’t even notice the camera!

To see more photos from Wolfie’s birthday bash, you can check out this slideshow.

We’re headed back to the nature center this weekend for yet another birthday party.  Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend?  Hopefully not involving ferrets!!

I LOVE CHINCHILLA’s. It’s on my “wierd pet” list. Love the black and white shots.

I went to a party where they brought out all sorts of lizards and snakes. It was way cool!

    Sounds like a fun party!

    Love,
    Heather
