Summer is here which means I go into teaching mode with the kids! Each summer I teach at camps and this summer is no different.
This camp is amazing!
I had a really fun, creative and unique experience teaching culinary arts at ESF Camp in Riverdale a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing to see the kids getting excited and creative with food. Each day we cooked a different meal and ended our week with a fun food festival with karaoke. You can read about it on the ESF blog here and here.
Starting today for 7 Mondays I’m teaching photography at RYDC to 3 groups of kids from 1st grade to 6th grade. It’s interesting how the different age groups respond to learning photography. We had a fun start to our summer learning about camera basics and zooming. It’s a great way to start each week!
Photography Camp
From August 24 – August 28 I’ll be running my Photography Camp for 9 to 12 year olds.. This will be my 5th summer!! Each summer I try to add some new fun activities. I especially like taking the kids on field trips – my favorite was Central Park last summer. We may have to go back again this summer. So much to see and explore in that park! You can see blog posts from previous summers here and if you have a kid that’s interested in photography and wants to join us for the week, the registration form is here.
