Finding things that looked like the letter O was going to be a pretty easy task. This will probably be the easiest letter of them all. There are so many round things out there! The challenge for me was going to be to find something that really stood out.
One day as I was walking my daughter to school, this bicycle tire basically SCREAMED out at me! I never saw one with a line green rim. So I whipped out my iPhone and took the shot.
To stay consistent with all of my previous letters, I processed it in black and white as well.
So, you have any O’s to show me? Let’s see!

This is a test…

Stacey your first photo provides a sense of autumn. I like that. My photo follows your lead in the color palette. Here’s my “O” for the week…

Looks like you were having a good time!! I like the colors!
Frank says
I was going to submit a black and white photo but my wife preferred the colored one better. BTW I like the new reply feature. Cool!

To follow your lead once again Stacey here’s another link to my “O”. It’s kind of whimsical with most of the color gone. 🙂

Very Fun! Is that using animated gifs?
Frank says
Yes Nokia Phones come with a program called Cinemagraph that can animate moving parts and still parts too. Thought it would be a good reason to use it with the spinning wheel.

Such a coincidence. I am reading a book called Blog Inc. and they mention a photographer that kind of started the term “cinemagraph” Was doing some research on it today. Here is the link to her cinemagraphs: http://annstreetstudio.com/category/cinemagraphs/

Very cool. And yes, coincidental. The photo with the rabbit referenced the word “whimsy” in describing that particular scenery. Similar to my earlier reference to my own photo. 🙂
I don’t use the feature too often. But it is very neat. The Ann Street Studio site surely uses it well. Great stuff! I would think that type of photo feature would be something that would very useful for you on some occasions. Especially on your web page. I hope your research is fruitful.

Love your “o” though I think I like it best in color. The lime green is very cool.
Stacey - Total City Girl says
Thanks Heather. The green is what caught my eye.

Wow!! Is that real?!? Looks great!

That was a moon over my house back in August. I wanted to get the clouds and the craters but I’m not there yet. What caught me was the way the moonlight lit up the cloud edges. Another perspective of silver linings.
Frank says
Awesome photo Nate. I guess you were at the right place at the right time.
