All that prep and it’s over so quickly!
How did your Thanksgiving go? Good I hope. Did you take lots of pictures??
Just wanted to share a few of mine…
1 – I never make soup on Thanksgiving but this year I decided to make Butternut Squash Soup to hold everyone over until the big meal. It was a hit! I’ll post the recipe in time for Christmas/Chanukah.
2 – Group shot – this one cracks me up. A definite keeper for the family photo album.
3 – Hubbs made homemade ice cream – coffee and pumpkin. Not a coffee lover so I didn’t even try it and I forgot to try the pumpkin. Ooops!
4 – Early onset of turkey coma
5 – Cleanup – YUCK!!
6 – My daughter reciting a Thanksgiving poem that she wrote (to the tune of (“T’was The Night Before Christmas)
7 – New recipe!! I tried the Braised Cabbage by Melissa D’Arabian. Wow!! So good! Looking forward to leftovers today.
8 – Marshmallow explosion!! I’m not a fan of marshmallows or sweet potatoes but put them all together and YUM! I think I used almost an entire bag of marshmallows. Luckily I had aluminum foil under the dish as it was cooking – marshmallow oozing everywhere!
Do you get creative with your leftovers or eat them straight up? I’m on the straight up side. I’m good with leftovers as long as there’s still gravy!
I’m actually starting to get hungry, so…
Have a great Weekend!
