So there’s this structure in Riverdale commonly known as “the monument”. Everyone knows where it is. It’s like a landmark for directions – “turn left at the monument” or “I’ll meet you by the monument”. What this monument is, I really have no idea. Pretty pathetic that after all this time I never stopped to read the plaque to see what it is officially all about.
The unofficial version according to my younger daughter is “that’s where the princesses live”. She swears that one day she even saw Jasmine (as in Aladdin) sitting on a bench reading a book. Who am I to argue with that?!?
The other day when I was walking back from a meeting I passed by the monument, looked up and found my M!
Could this perhaps be Jasmine’s window?!
Where did you find your “M” this week?

I’m baaaaack. Ya miss me? I missed y’all. Saw your wonderful pics for the past couple of weeks. Well if you didn’t know, I underwent a total hip replacement a couple of weeks ago. All is well. I am finally fairly mobile (walker and all) but still a bit wobbly. Yes, Frank, recovery is going well, thank you. Well, was looking at your “M” Stacy and just happened to look to the side from my recliner (which I sleep in because I’m still afraid of the bed), and I saw my “M” right in what I call my recovery office. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200693957287469&set=a.4246542597954.2148261.1117345440&type=1&theater
I will post my back pics today also…glad to be back to the inspiration.

Stacey once again you certainly have an eye for capturing some fantastic shots! Nate, welcome back! Glad to hear you’re recovery is coming along well. Good catch on that “M” N8. Here’s my “M”.

Thanks Frank. I had to laugh at your “M” because I was looking at a bike rack at the Shopette on Base that is shaped the same way a couple of weeks back and thinking the same thing. I didn’t have my camera with me at the time so I didn’t get the shot. I’m glad to see I’m on track.
Frank says
Nate, don’t have your camera with you? Were it not for my cell phone I don’t know what I’d do. My Nokia phone takes decent enough shots so I’m always prepared. The trouble is finding that perfect shot. Though Stacey makes it looks so easy. 😉

OBTW, Stacey didn’t have to go look far for an “M”, she already had one in her photos of “CSAIR Bat Mitzvah: Abby F”. There were two girls holding hands in the form of a perfect “M”. Wished I had noticed earlier I would have “borrowed” the idea. Ha! 🙂

Hi Nate and Frank,
Great M’s! I love hearing your stories. Nate I am glad you are on the road to recovery and back in our photo challenge.
Frank – I knwo exactly the photo you are speaking of from Abby F’s Bat Mitzvah. It was one of my favorites from the day! Thanks for noticing I will need to look at t from a different perspective now!

I have no M stories to tell, but I like your creativity, and your daughter’s stories. Very cute. Who knows. Maybe she did see Jasmine.
